Thank you very much for the comprehensive explaination.
So I think  there are other cases exist, that an offered function has no effect
in OOo. We can explain this to users: it's too complex and too expensive and 
too riskful to solve this kind of issue than the correction of it. Right?

IMHO, I really feel some of the issues are not worth to deal with.
