Unfortunately/Fortunately (depending on your point of view) we're about to start some major surgery on the Java Broker to bring in 0-10 protocol support and ready it for AMQP 1-0 (based on the ideas in the preliminary drafts from the AMQP WG). I guess the way forward would be to discuss how we should design the broker to make clustering easy to add. If we can come up with such a design then we can incorporate this in our work on moving the broker internals up to 0-10/1-0 and hopefully have clustering support following that.
