Sketching some ideas on clustering would be good...
Unfortunately/Fortunately (depending on your point of view) we're
about to start some major surgery on the Java Broker to bring in 0-10
protocol support and ready it for AMQP 1-0 (based on the ideas in the
preliminary drafts from the AMQP WG).
I guess the way forward would be to discuss how we should design the
broker to make clustering easy to add. If we can come up with such a
design then we can incorporate this in our work on moving the broker
internals up to 0-10/1-0 and hopefully have clustering support
following that.
We probably need to set up some sort of (virtual) whiteboarding
sessions to discuss the design...
That sounds very good! Maybe we should open a JIRA to collect clustering
ideas. Etienne, it would be great if you can create the JIRA and start
the discussion.
