Gautam Borad commented on RANGER-597:
-------------------------------------

bq. Even-though I'm not absolutely sure about that, I believe that to log in to
Ranger Admin console, you have to use an internal user or a user that have
admin rights on Ranger.

[~bartimeux]/[~aneela] Ranger does support LDAP authentication. In fact it
supports the following three sources (along with internal users that are
created from Ranger Admin itself) :
# LDAP
# AD
# UNIX

Look for the section "Configuring Ranger Admin Authentication Modes" in this
[Ranger
doc|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/RANGER/Apache+Ranger+0.5.0+Installation]

Please note: the user you are trying to log into must first be synced using
Ranger UserSync.
