Recently, I edited an answer to an old question about AS3 IDEs recently (to add VSCode and Moonshine), and the original question (which had been up for years) was almost instantly closed by moderators. StackOverflow has become very strict about open-ended questions that are more appropriate to discussion forums. Choose your questions wisely.
More specific questions that can be solved with a small code example are probably the best choice. Look for issues that come up frequently. For instance, there are often problems if someone forgets to add a data binding bead to a component. In the question, you'll want a component that is broken because it's missing the bead. In the answer, show them which bead to add and where it should be added. In fact, more questions involving beads are probably great candidates! Question: How do I use some feature in component X. Answer: This feature isn't enabled by default, but you can add Y bead to the component. - Josh On 2019/03/04 13:14:09, Andrew Wetmore <[email protected]> wrote: > "apacheroyale" is fine with me. > > SO's tutorial suggests that open-ended discussion-type questions fare worse > on the site than specific, solution-focused questions.
