I did understand your example. Nevertheless I think the problem is
that some automatic behaviour cannot cover all uses cases, that's
why a user can always enter a formula manually.

Well, in Excel, they behave stargely... They just keep the last part
of the multi-selection.
BTW, will this also provide a other functions that sum (like mean...).
