There are enough complaints that when entering 1.2 in a locale where the
dot is not the decimal separator a date is generated (where usually one
wanted to enter a numbered list instead).
OK. But in response to such a complaint, we can explain [1] that
formatting the cell will help. And that is not a solution when pasting
mixed data...
