To follow up on this, the releases are still not in the right location. Surely
someone can just put them there manually and fix the release procedure for the
next one?!
Another thing, I tried to download the sources for 2.5.0-beta1 (from
https://repository.apache.org/content/groups/public/org/apache/shindig/shindig-server/2.5.0-beta1/)
but when I unpacked "shindig-server-2.5.0-beta1-sources.jar" the file was
pretty much empty!? Where are the sources and how can I build the project?
Your looking at the wrong level: shindig-server is a sub module of shindig, not
the main shindig project itself, which you'll find under
/org/apache/shindig/shindig.
The shindig-server-2.5.0-beta1-sources.jar is mostly empty because the
shindig-server module is only a pom, aggregating resources and dependencies to
build the final war. It doesn't provide sources of its own.

Understood. I am hoping Paul or one of the other committers more familiar
with the releases can comment on why that is not happening.

Hello Ryan,
Thanks for pointing me to the releases! However, you are voting on and
doing official releases and you mention them in your board reports. These
releases have to be [6] in the official "dist" folder of your project [4],
with older ones in [5]. That is currently not the case, so I think it
would make sense to correct that.
It's also nice to hear that you're working on an updated website!
Greetings, Marcel

Hi Marcel,
In general we as a community have done a bad job keeping the web site up
to date and there is an effort under way to try to update it (and keep
it
updated) with the latest and greatest information.
Paul has been doing most of the release work lately and he has been
publishing betas here

Subject: Releases?
Hello all,
After reading up on the website and mailing list, I got a bit confused
about the releases that you've made. On the one hand, the latest release
you mention on your website is 2.0.0 [1], on the other hand on the list
I've seen votes (that have passed) for at least a couple of newer
releases, for example [2], [3].
I was expecting to find the latest release at [4] and the older,
archived
ones at [5], but I can't find them there. I have two questions:
1) Where are your releases?
2) Why are they not in the official location? [6]
