You OK with me trying to port this?
Sure :-)
If you have Mercurial installed you can do:
hg clone http://hg.geotoolkit.org/geotoolkit
The module is "module/coverage/geotk-coverageio-netcdf". For SIS, I
suggest to just use "sis-netcdf" or maybe "sis-storage-netcdf", given
that NetCDF is not only about coverage.
I suggest to look only at the org.geotoolkit.metadata.netcdf package and
ignore all other ones for now, as the other one needs a "coverage I/O"
framework which is not yet there.
We did some work with OODT and SIS earlier, my GSoC student last year
Ross Laidlaw (also on the SIS PMC) wrote this guide:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SIS/OODT+File+Manager+to+SIS+Co
nnection+Demo
Shows how if geospatial data is managed in OODT how it could be connected
to SIS. I see this as sort of "the other way around" but easily doable as
well and I'm willing to help which makes it all the better :)
Cool, thanks for letting us know. On my side, I don't really have any
idea about which way is the most practicable, since I'm not familiar
enough with OODT. Anything that OODT peoples find better is fine for me.
Sure that's fine too. I think getting an 0.3 release out ASAP
(light-weight, we can always do 0.3.1 or 0.4 shortly thereafter) would be ideal.
Yes, this was the intend of my email when I told that we could come back
on NetCDF and database later.
