Took me a bit longer than expected to be able to read and vote, but just did it. Voted +1 on both, plus a tweet to call others to vote https://twitter.com/kinow/status/1011066224694865921
Thanks Martin! I tried to summarize the agreement that I want to achieve in this page: https://github.com/unitsofmeasurement/unit-api/wiki/Arithmetic-operations-on-Quantity The message I'm fighting for is that whatever JSR-385 do, the arithmetic operations on quantities (+, -, *, /) must be consistent with arithmetic laws (associativity, commutativity, etc.). I'm not arguing for any particular solution - only for the requirement to be compliant with arithmetic laws. Thankfully yesterday discussion seems to have shifted to an acceptance of this requirement, but if any one agree, votes (with a "thumb up") on the following issues are still helpful: * https://github.com/unitsofmeasurement/unit-api/issues/98 * https://github.com/unitsofmeasurement/unit-api/issues/99 Thanks Martin
