Yes it looks like this makes sense, in particular to be able to add whitelist entries when running tests. If you implement this please make sure the full whitelist settings are logged (at the INFO level I'd say) every time the config changes, so that one can figure out the current config by just looking at the last log message. And I think the warnings for unsafe things like regexp should stay. -Bertrand
