I heartily endorse listing everyone who did something on a release. It drives me crazy every time there is a release of GCC that ends with their boilerplate “many people worked on this, too many to list here”. No, it’s not too many to list. There is no limit on the length of your release notes. People worked on the project, and putting their names in the release notes or on the change log is literally the least the project can do to recognize them. The cost to do so is so small, and the potential positives so large, you won’t find a better bang/buck ratio.
