I'll see about putting together a standalone test for a Cygwin bug report. That will do two other things that I think are necessary before this can be turned into a patch: Determine the actual size of data sent over the socket at which breakage starts, and determine the actual sleep time that is necessary. Does sleep() allow fractional seconds in its argument?
