an ASF procedural question. so, we now have 3 +1s for the Rules subproject: me - Michael - Duncan.
*however* I think we may need a majority of the PMC to vote in favor for it to be passed. This is what Daniel suggested a few weeks ago. That means one more vote is required. (ping!) However, our wiki gives no indication either way; Jakarta reportedly require even more than that (3/4s of the PMC!) so that's no help; and I can't find any other online doco indicating what the ASF guidelines are. So, do we require: - (a) 3 +1s? seems a bit low, in my opinion - (b) a majority of the PMC? I think this is most appropriate - (c) 3/4s of the PMC, Jakarta style? too much. I'm hoping someone can say "oh yeah, we decided on (b) ages ago!" here, btw. --j.
