--- Comment #8 from Matt Kettler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 2008-03-27 18:46:13 PST --- Benny: It's skipped because there's no value in doing the query. What gain do you expect to get out of matching URIBL_GREY for all messages with any geocities.com URIs in them? There's no value in it. It does not improve accuracy. It does not increase the detect rate for spam. It does absolutely nothing but waste resources. Why on earth do you want to pour CPU and network resources down the drain for no benefit whatsoever? That's completely a valueless modification. It has no rational gains, and the resource waste is quite real. Theo: I think the registrar boundary issue is largely unrelated, and workarounds exist currently for that. All we need to do for the geocities case is to add "util_rb_2tld geocities.com". We don't even need to remove it from the skip domains for it to work, as it will only skip the bare geocities.com domain. That functionality works properly as-is. What Benny wants is a query for geocities.com.multi.uribl.com to be sent, because that query will currently return grey. It will match grey only because URIBL allows the crack monkeys to run free on the greylist, for fear of them taking over the blacklist. -- Configure bugmail: https://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
