Yes, I knew that.

Well, I already made that test (that is, using opendns servers as well as the
secondary one provided by my isp) and the problem remains. 

OTOH, I have no account with opendns, just use their dns servers, so I think
have no way to disable anything.

I wonder if there is a way to test the resolver functions which SA uses for
quering dnsbl servers. As per bug #5589 [Refined async events handling and DNS
lookup completions], maybe something wrong happens in my machine due to my
network configuration (bonded interfaces) when using ".pm" modules listed under
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/Mail/SpamAssassin/

AsyncLoop.pm
Dns.pm
DnsResolver.pm

Could I test this ones outside SA to see if they are causing the "timeout"
reponse I am getting? That should gives us a clue on where to start.
