I have continued development carrying on from storm-kafka-0.8-plus, but decided
to only support a transactional trident spout and also using the "new" 0.8 APIs
for fetching partition information.
I have been developing this alongside our application as a separate maven
module, but would be happy releasing the source as a standalone module.
