Oh, sure, ask the tough questions after my bed-time! ;-)

I haven't had the opportunity to pour over "our stuff" as thoroughly as I would like - and need to, in order to be accurate and concise. It's late and I've absolutely got to get some rest. I start an Essbase class tomorrow. I'm less than excited about it, but it's what I get to do ... and I don't want to be falling asleep during it. :-)

I would like to voice that the current release plan looks fantastic! Kudos to James Mitchell. I know, having not filled that position, I cannot fully appreciate all the headaches he has had to endure to get us to this point, but I do appreciate his commitment to getting us there.

Oh, to hell with it, sleep is over-rated :-) I'll get some tomorrow (this is what I told myself yesterday!).

Most of my concerns are in the Release Guidelines. It's ambiguous to say any release should follow the guidelines of both tomcat and httpd. They're decidedly different with respect to where the emphasis is placed.

I'll try to get some more time to comment on this tomorrow or soon-ish. For now, provided we can acquire quorum, I think we should move ahead with this release. We've hijacked James' roadmap long enough. I'm sure he'd like to get out of the "driver's seat" ... or is that "back in" the ... :-S

Night Y'all :-)

+1 for Tomcat style release.

That's fine with me, Eddie.

Do you have a link to the Tomcat release guidelines that we can incorporate by reference?

Or, what specific changes do we need to make to our Release Plan Checklist, Release Guidelines, or Bylaws so that they reflect a Tomcat style release?
