Bah, no need for that - bad transations are part of the fun! :)

Did you try translating it back? It often doesn't come out quite like
you'd expect. ;-)

Actually, what I'm wondering about is the interpretation. Having a
_ja file present, to me, says we have JA counterparts for these
messages. If the actual entry is the same, isn't it better to have
that come from the default bundle?

The purpose of adding the English entries to the JA resource file is
so that a translator (i.e. someone interested in keeping the Japanese
translation up to date, in this case) will see the new untranslated
English entries and know exactly which messages need new translations.
(It does nothing to help identify existing messages that have changed,
though - that's a harder problem that needs more supporting
infrastructure.)

Anyway, that was just a suggestion. It would really be better to hear
from people who are interested in doing translations on how they would
prefer to track changes.

This isn't a test resource, so I'm not sure appending something like
(JA) is appropriate.
I guess I'm going to leave it alone. If someone else adds the english
entries, I'm not going to stop them. :) Or, if someone who
understands the contents can help out, that'd be great, too. The most
recent patches used to update the JA resource files were contributed
by Yoshinori Ashizawa of jajakarta.org.

Yes, well, sort of. To truly ensure that the value returned "really" came

from the alternate bundle, I append the snippet described below. But then,

I'm tedious about that stuff.....it's your dime so it's your call ;)
