Ted,
JIRA does not take the synonym to heart. JIRA provides an actual
"Unknown" version which can be assigned to issues. If they are assigned
to anything else, they appear on the road map. That's why it's better to
put them to Unknown than Future, to indicate a horizon versus yonder.
