That did it.  Still have build failures on the tests though (both xwork and struts 2).

On a positive note... I was able to get the struts2-sitemesh pluging working with velocity and freemarker (using 2 filters, 1 for each).

Is there a need for a combined filter, such as a velocity and freemarker accepting filter (based on extension)?  I can do that pretty easily...

Is there a need for a jsp struts-sitemesh filter?  I can attempt that as well (will need some testing...)

For documentation purposes, no need to change anything.  Just use the standard two filters that are already there for struts+sitemesh integration.

Included is the jar file... it may be built with Java 6 (don't know if mvn specified Java 5 or not).  Testing with sitemesh-2.4.2.jar.

Attachment: struts2-sitemesh-plugin-2.2.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

Did you try deleting that jar from your local maven repository? Could
be a corrupt download.
