Tools - Options - Appearance - Smart tags lets you customize the smart
tag underline color.
ok. but should be a property of the smarttag imho
why the choice of violet by default ?
this has been defined in the specification of this feature:
http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/SmartTags/Smart_Tags_Specification.odt
Assigning different colors for different smart tag types is a possible
enhancement of this feature which is not covered by the specification.
Feel free to file a RFE for this.
This whole MOSTL stuff is *not* part of the smart tag API. It is just
a *sample* implementation of a recognizer/action pair, which is able
to evaluate MOSTL xml files. So feel free to define your own smart tag
defining xml scheme and write a recognizer and action for this scheme.
Well, my response will be political
We are actually fighting against MSOXML iso certifiation and FUD against
ODF
Using sime MS xml tags, even if we are allowed (what about IP ?), will
give weapons to our oponents
let me again explain this. The MOSTL smart tag extensions is nothing but
a prove of concept, originally written by Jakob Lechner, the external
contributer who initiated the project. Having MOSTL xml files read by a
special smart tag component is only one of the million possibilities
what you can do with smart tags. This has nothing to do with the smart
tag API, it's just *one* possible use case. You wouldn't blame the
Writer API that it can be used to import Word xml files, would you?
Best regards,
Frank
