If generating UUIDs for endpoint names causes problems with clustering scenarios, then I would say we should stop generating names for in-lined endpoints. We should leave anonymous endpoints as they are and it should be up to the user to properly name endpoints when implementing a clustered scenario (like in 1.2 days). Still IMO, forcing the user to name endpoints is not the right solution.
