Yes, I'm thinking the 5.0.16 would follow on as soon as I get back
from Europe, and we could have a shortened experience period for it.

I suppose these issues, one having a patch, the other being a single line in
one file, could be fixed rather quickly in 5.0.16-SNAPSHOT? In that case,
everybody wins, no?

I'm on the road; I'd rather release 5.0.15 but NOT vote it an RC, and
follow up with .16 when I get back from the road, and vote that up.

Can't the 5.0.15 release be postponed a couple of days just enough time
for
these two issues to get solved ?
This way we would still make the 5.0.15 RC1.

Interesting catches. I'm looking for opinions:
a) Fix these in 5.1.
b) Continue with 5.0.15, fix these in 5.0.16, try for 5.0.16 as
release candidate.
c) Abort 5.0.15 (again!), fix these, start again.
I beginning to feel like I'm playing wack-a-mole.

An encoding error in the Danish messages files causes an
UnknownFormatConversionException. I've supplied a patch that fixes the
issue:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAPESTRY-2674
Also, as Geoff stated, there's a problem wrt. blank logical page names.
This
has actually been the behaviour for a while, but after a recent change
to
ComponentSource#getPage(String) has become a problem, as the method
will
not
accept a blank page name any longer:

It has passed all my tests.

I've fixed a few more bugs for 5.0.15 and updated the Maven and
src/bin distributions, as previously discussed here.
I've created and uploaded a release of Tapestry 5.0.15, ready to be
voted upon. This is the release candidate.
The files are uploaded to:
http://people.apache.org/~hlship/tapestry-releases/
and a Maven repository:
http://people.apache.org/~hlship/tapestry-ibiblio-rsynch-repository/
Please examine these files to determine if a new preview release,
5.0.15, is ready.
I've also created a 5.0.15 tag in Subversion:
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/tapestry/tapestry5/tags/releases/5.0.15/
On a successful vote, I'll move the files from these directories to
the proper distribution directories.
Vote will run for three days; on success I'll move the voted
artifacts
into place and send out appropriate notifications.
I'm looking forward to having several weeks of exposure of the
release
candidate. If no critical, unpatchable errors occur, this can be
the
5.0 GA. I'm already looking forward to doing some ambitious things
in
the 5.1. release.
