Note that a future step could **infer** sub-projects by looking at a PMC's released artifacts. As an example, and I don't know if Apache DB has one/more DOAP files, but looking at https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/db/ ... there are three subdirectories, for their three subprojects.
