It does not modify any files of the package, but it manages/modifies
different files with respect to user/shared layer or platform specifics
(enabling the same user layer for multiple platforms), e.g.

- different rdb files for UNO component registration
- different rc/ini files for java classpath, UNO rdb type libraries
- an own configuration data and schema layer
- Basic script and dialog library registration
...

Except for the basic library registration, all modifications are
performed in own directories (user/shared package cache).
