Marshall Schor commented on UIMA-2522:
--------------------------------------

It appears that the rename of the packages, when supplied as a patch, instead
of the diff being the containing folder rename, it deleted all the lines in the
source in the old folder, and added them in the new folder. While this works,
it loses information about what was (not) changed. So, rather than being a
small incremental change, this change becomes a massive one which makes it hard
for people to review the change. Is there a way to do the patch so the file
contents are (mostly) left alone - lines updated only where needed, instead of
this mass delete and re-add of all lines of the file?
