Uhmm... no. First of all, "everyone" is me and Matthew. And we converged on a page we both liked, and included elements contributed from both. Your suggestion was good. I felt that tone one Matthew proposed was better. The words are not random. They are carefully chosen after much discussion among several people to convey the message. Furthermore, in most cases, we do want to keep descriptions very short. A huge block of text is not usable. OOo pages tend to suffer from severe text overload. We must make an effort to stop this and move in the direction of usability.
