Working month after month on the same design changing just a small bits of it makes one blind. That's proven. :) When that happens, outsiders' opinions are valuable.
It could be that my eye is too critical. All OpenOffice.org needs is a website which is an improvement over the old one. I guess there's no need to nit-pick. And as I said, the top-left part (the "frame") of the website is wonderful. It's simple, clean and... blue. For instance the template on this site: https://download.sc40.sfo.collab.net/index.html is pure gold. Blue, light orange and silver blend perfectly with each others. And then there's the larger main navigation with CSS rollovers and a simple shadow effect. No layout problems of any kind. That's the OOo website I want to see.
