I think centering the button would be enough. Most people are on
1024x768 resolution or lower. Not all are even viewing it in a full
screen window.

So, I think your proposal would only work on higher resolutions.

And, by the way, if you have 'Download' then arrow pointing down to the
components, new users get the idea that they have to download each
component separately by clicking on the icons. :) That's probably one of
the reasons why the component icons were moved a bit aside in the first
place.

The homepage looks just as it should on your machine.

Maarten: Could you center the download button, please? Let's see how it
looks.
