Sort of like this, very rough and not taking into consideration that this is at 1280x1024 of course.
but it gives you the feel for the balance.

I think centering the button would be enough. Most people are on
1024x768 resolution or lower.

That would definitely be a start! :)

Not all are even viewing it in a full
screen window. So, I think your proposal would only work on higher resolutions.

The button that size yes. But at 800 x 600 the icons in their present place go all over the place.
So at present the only resolution at which they look correct-ish is 1024 x 768.

And, by the way, if you have 'Download' then arrow pointing down to the
components, new users get the idea that they have to download each
component separately by clicking on the icons. :) That's probably one of
the reasons why the component icons were moved a bit aside in the first
place.

Heh! That's a possibility. But I just reused the button that Marten had made and slightly modified it so thats not really too much of an issue.. Just change the arrow graphic. The component icons look detached over on the side like that.. like an afterthought.

If putting them where I suggested is out, then put them below the line.... this is a download page after all.

The homepage looks just as it should on your machine.

I didn't think otherwise. Everything is where the code wants it. I was just suggesting an alternative

Cheers
