Please understand that for creating a download page, one needs to be
well informed. Without the right information it is hard to make the
changes correctly. I just try to do my best in keeping it correct, while
keeping it a bit usable/logical as well. That is why it is not changed
immediately, and repetitively asked for some assistance in presenting it
in a concise and friendly manner.

Your onhover 'no pointer/hand' bug has been resolved as well... more to
improve this won't be done any more by me, unless there are bugs... (so
no statusbar things)
But please just tell me what you WANT instead of saying just what is wrong.

We need to be clear about this...
It is the phrase "Our thoroughly tested builds" that throws me. The
Mac builds are often held from release if they are not up to scratch.
This is why several de releases have been withheld. As far as I can
tell, this page is just a page to choose your Operating System, so
that you get the right download. Why not title it "Choose your
Operating System - you will either have your download start
immediately or be taken to another page to choose your download". If
a user want to use OpenOffice.org, there will usually only be one
place to get it for their Operating System. Why make it complicated by
having 2 different types of Operating System? All Operating Systems
would then be treated as equal for the download. That way it is
simpler for users.
With the release of OpenOffice.org 2.2, there will be 4 downloads
(ignoring language) for the Mac, half of these are legacy. Once we
have a universal binary and aqua released, then I would be happy to
have direct links on your page, until then I would prefer to give
users extra information about X11 and processor choice before
download. The key is to have the universal binary, so that there is
only one download for both PPC and Intel users (Unless we have 2
links, Mac OS X PPC and Mac OS X Intel, though many users don't know
the difference). Also having the Aqua removes the dependancy of X11,
which makes it easier for the user.
The page also takes you to the legacy downloads, if the user scrolls
down and looks on the right.
Looking at the link on the right of your download page, there is a

on this page it has a link to the old Mac OS X download page.
