They get QA tested, but not by Sun.

I tried to explain the situation in earlier posts.
Basically the problem is that the english release of the main platform
gets their go from the Sun QA Team. And they don't until the
community-QA give a go for the "additional" builds.
So while 2.2 might be available for Win, Sol and Linux x86, the others
might still be in QA.
Reflecting the status in the main download page would require permanent
monitoring of the status of the ports/explain why part of the links go
to the current version, while some others still point to the old
version.
