Hm. No, I disagree. We do want to have a support pointer, and
that's exactly what Filip's page has. Kay, if we have too much
information on the homepage it gets too cluttered. The Support page
(or portal.ooo) can have that. But the homepage needs to be
radically simple and direct, not cluttered.
Rather than having a news section eating much space, I'd rather a
space with 'featured content', such as templates, cliparts etc.
Highlight some of the gems hidden in the webpages of OOo.
Fine with me, as long as we have something that allows us to announce,
say, OOoCon.
The about page can imho link to the media stories...
+1 or a dedicated page.
they are not that interesting, and a lot of stories linked are often
too much focussed towards the community... I mean, not many people
actually care about the small details of the ODT standard... (not
that this is an unimportant discussion, but not something that
should be linked unedited from the main page (I'd rather see an
article explaining the standards-war in everyday language))
