I'd suggest we in fact do that but that--but also continue with redoing the homepage; the two are not in conflict with each other, as I rather hope the homepage can be designed to change. I honestly rather doubt that we'll learn that much from real usability testing, as our goals are rather limited (download, learn). My main concern is of course prolonging the effort. But if it can be done expeditiously, then let's pay for the usability testing.

Fact: We do have some money to allocate for usability testing.
