Currently, the design does not validate simply because h1 and paragraph tags cannot be enclosed in a link. I did this to make the link area encapsulate the whole list item. I don't know how this can be fixed, other than to split everything up and use multiple <a> tags within both the h1 tag and the subsequent paragraph tag (or make both h1 and p tags a <span> element, but that's hardly semantic). Any suggestions? One more to-do: Elegantly implement the 'banner ads' (promotional clippings to appear below the positioner).
