Let the customer decide. Put up a button "Check further to see exactly wich configuration is right for you" or "Check for faster download" (which is less verbose) with a "what is this?" link that explains that there will be a delay of up to 15 seconds(?) while we check if you need JRE; if not, the download will be faster. -- J.
