This was my concern... it's weird - especially to new users - to have two buttons for searching. Other ideas.... - an Advanced search link on the left in the Toolbox - Remove the MediaWiki search altogether and use the Google Search extension we have on the Documentation page in its place. See: http://doc.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation - Some combination of both and advanced and a Google search. > The Search/Go buttons are a MediaWiki feature/quirk, and if people > have gotten used to using them (for very valid reasons), perhaps we > should just have them both in plain sight... but then I would suggest > clearly explaining the difference to all users on a 'Getting Started > with the Wiki' page or a 'tips and tricks' type page. > What do you think? We need to have a OOoWiki Quickstart page anyway I think.. Whichever solution we go with, we will need to explain it to some segment of the userbase.
