Actually there is distribution linked from the
frontpage. It contains plugins and all necessary
dependencies to unzip and go.
If you use maven then it is even easier.
I'll give it a spin, I didn't download because the name seems to imply
that it's plugins only, and not the core engine :-).
Where do I need to go to get everything i need to build from source?
