I did want to mention that a few of the PPMC members have been inactive recently in the last few months, and despite reaching out for release votes, we haven’t received responses. Meanwhile, we currently have active contributors and committers who are regularly working on the project (Multi-Catalog Sync, Apache Polaris(Incubating) Integration, Parquet Source, Pluggable TF etc. to highlight the top ones) and helping move things forward.
Would it be appropriate for us to consider refreshing the PPMC composition based on the current set of active committers and contributors? As I understand it, the ASF encourages merit-based evolution, and the PPMC can nominate active individuals to help strengthen the committee and ensure the project continues to progress in a healthy way. I’d appreciate any guidance on how we can approach this in line with ASF practices. Best, Vinish
