(Note that all of the following is based on the assumption that Facebook still works for some using the old implementation, I'm under that impression, maybe that's where I'm going wrong ;) ) The problem as I see it revolves around the anticipated question: "why is Adium doing this?". Of course, we have been telling users in different support venues and on the blog that there's going to be a migration from the old to the new, official Facebook implementation and the reasons for this migration. However, I think it is safe to assume that most users won't know about this so they'll be wondering why they are confronted with a Facebook account setup window when they Facebook is working okay for them.
