Hello,

I run into problemns with one of my modems, the Nokia 6210 phone. This
phone is connected to Kannel and although I have configured kannel with
using the phone memory instead of SIM memory () I keep getting a dialog
on the phone, saying memory is full. As a result, the operator SMS-c
does not deliver any more incoming SMS-es. The only thing that helps is
turning the phone off and on and restarting kannel. Only then messages
are delivered again from the SMS-c to the phone.

Does anyone know a solution for this, I never ran into such problems
with my Wavecom modems.

Thanks in advance for the help,

Edwin Poot

I have used forced-smsc in sendsms-user and set denied-sms-id in smsc
group --- is this not enough is it mandatory to set allowed-smsc-id

One more query

I have 4 smsc links with same smscid and if one drops dead then if had
restart the smsc what would happen --- will kannel restart all the smsc
links with that smscid

have you 'allowed-smsc-id' directives in the smsc groups?!

If no, then Kannel will simply pick the first one that is considered
online.

I don't think so. I guess your internet connection itself is not the
limiting factor. I guess it's more to the SMSC provider itself.

The fastes we got was 55 msg/sec. to O2 (Germany). All others are
performing less. So it's not a limitation of Kannel. Kannel can deal
with a *lot* more.

First of all, if you use 1.2.1 stable, you may consider upgrading to
current cvs tree, which is almost 1.3.2-pre (hence 1.3.2 will be
released shortly).

We have cvs tree running on our production servers with 307 links in 3
instances, performing very reliable.
