Firstly I want to wish the Kannel Developers and users a wonderful 2009 Thanks for all the amazing work. Several Kannel users already have the meta-data branch successfully in production so based on their experience it should be in the new stable version. If Kannel users have problems with the meta-data branch, I hope they will email back to this thread their negative experiences. There may be future issues that need to be improved with the meta-data branch, but as Stripe says, "It's impossible to have bug free software". Keeping it separate means it will never be fully used by many Kannel users and therefore they can't benefit from it, as they will not download it or know it even exits. I know from several production installations that run it without issues. Should we mainline it to CVS and have it in 1.4.2? Stipe
