You don't seem so sure that default_smsc_mode will not cause problems. I
remember in the past some issues with ESM_CLASS, but were few and in
between. Store and forward has been working for most people. This change
will affect regular sms as well. Wouldn't be better to make it configurable?

carriers around the world. On the other hand, at least in my own
experience setting it to "default smsc mode" doesn't cause any negative
effects.
