Chromebook devices are neither UEFI nor BIOS. You can use GPT disk layout while still booting BIOS, which they also don't do. Chromebook devices either boot with uboot -> depthcharge or Coreboot -> uboot -> depthcharge. I don't see how this helps your argument. -- John M.
