It will work unless the version of the D-Bus service is bumped for
whatever reason. That's the only reason why the variables are part of
the .pc file, to have correct D-Bus service name provided, not hard-
coded.
In any case, I understand these are not obstacles, not the big one, if
the runtime change for the D-Bus service names will be possible. Feel
free to file an upstream bug against the evolution-data-server, thus
it's tracked (and not forgotten).
