The combination of the recent gdal / static debuginfo build time increase, and trying to track down an increase in vtk build times on s390x:

Mar 3 build:
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2669348

took 5:33 (hours)

Jun 4th build:
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2725539

took 11:33

vtk code stayed the same. s390x hw-info seems to be the same from what I see.

LDFLAGS changed:
-+ LDFLAGS='-Wl,-z,relro -Wl,--as-needed -Wl,-z,now -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-hardened-ld -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-annobin-cc1 -Wl,--build-id=sha1 -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-package-notes ' ++ LDFLAGS='-Wl,-z,relro -Wl,--as-needed -Wl,-z,now -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-hardened-ld -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-hardened-ld-errors -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-annobin-cc1 -Wl,--build-id=sh

GCC changed:
--- The C compiler identification is GNU 15.0.1
--- The CXX compiler identification is GNU 15.0.1
+-- The C compiler identification is GNU 15.1.1
+-- The CXX compiler identification is GNU 15.1.1

But what it turned out to be is a number of tests starting to hit a 25 minute timeout - enough to add up to the extra 6 hours. Still haven't figured the reason for that, but I'm just going to stop running the tests on s390x as it's gotten worse with vtk 9.5 - I've hit 85 such tests in the current build. I don't think it's a big 3D visualization platform either.

Although it seems like s390x builders have changed recently from 3 "cpus" to 2 - is that correct? It seems like I've seen some additional creep up recently to 12:30 but less data on that.

It would be really nice if koschei and koji displayed build times more prominently to try to track changes like this.

I've filed:
https://pagure.io/koji/issue/4455
https://github.com/fedora-infra/koschei/issues/366

Has anyone contemplated doing some analysis of tracking build times in Fedora?
