Thank you for the TL;DR: I got lost and confused in it.

The issue which I have been trying to say is that this is not easy with the
current build system. The many different components are tied together in ways
which will break unforseen things later or earlier in the build system when
trying to do this. Every new EPEL release to a new RHEL can take 6 months to
set up because of this. You (and the 40-60 other big sets of software which
people want to be built, plus the many minor ones that are happier in
containers than an multi-use OS) would be wanting to effectively add a new
'fork' and build every time a new release of vLLM occurs. (This is more of how
the present system does things than a function of what you want.. if you mess
with that you break rawhide, fedora, rhel, openshift, etc) The system as is
isn't built to handle this, and it isn't able to scale to this.

In order to make things 'scale' to work in this way is going to take a very
very large amount of infrastructure work while still making sure that Fedora
releases every 6 months to make sure Red Hat's money makers can release on time
with the features they want. Going from every previous project trying to change
how Fedora builds.. as much as Red Hat's management says "This is the thing we
want, and we will give you all the backing you need", it promptly goes away
without explanation when a RHEL or similar moneymaker has any slowdown.

This is why I am looking at this as a mostly greenfield which only affects
Fedora in certain spots like authentication, authorization, and could be
integrated later into Fedora WHEN this is actually working and doing what is
expected (versus trying to put another engine replacement on the vehicle which
can never stop).
