Hello Fedora Community,

My name is Alexey Savchkov (FAS: alexdev), I am a DevOps engineer with
10+ years in DevOps and almost 20 years in industrial automation. A few
words about my motivation to join at first. In my work I have built
both DEB and RPM packages and I have always been impressed by how much
it was easier to achive my goals with RPM and YUM repositories compared
to DEB/APT. CentOS has long been my server system of choice for various
infrastructure tasks. Also I am very much satisfied with Fedora Xfce
which I am running on my home laptop. So I would be happy to contribute
to Fedora which is the starting point of the entire Red Hat family.

I would like to adopt a few orphaned packages as the maintainer. I
have read the packaging guideline, policies and responsibilities. I
have looked through the list of current orphaned packages and since I
come from the C/C++ domain two of them have attracted my attention -
ptl (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/ptl) and
usbsniff (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/usbsniff).

So I would like to hear whether these packages worth taking
over once I am promoted to the packager group or I should probably pick
up other ones.

Thank you,
Alexey
