Well, there's a question of whether you're really giving up security.
There's no actual vulnerability at issue here, just the theory that
systemd is more susceptible to vulnerabilities.

(It's also worth noting that, when the question is put baldly, we all
claim to value security over everything else, yet we do silly,
non-optimal-for-security-purposes things like disabling SELinux. Or
saving passwords. Or using the Internet. Or using X...remember,
security's a rabbit hole, and if you dive too far down it, you end up
sitting at a terminal with no network connection, feeling secure yet
ineffably lonely...:>)
