Well, there's a question of whether you're really giving up security. There's no actual vulnerability at issue here, just the theory that systemd is more susceptible to vulnerabilities. (It's also worth noting that, when the question is put baldly, we all claim to value security over everything else, yet we do silly, non-optimal-for-security-purposes things like disabling SELinux. Or saving passwords. Or using the Internet.
